Parts A & B
Original Medicare
Original Medicare is provided by the federal government. Part A generally covers inpatient hospital care, while Part B generally covers doctor visits and outpatient medical services. Many people add other coverage to help with prescription drugs and out-of-pocket costs.
Part C
Medicare Advantage
Medicare Advantage plans are offered by private insurance companies and provide your Medicare Part A and Part B benefits. Plans can differ in costs, provider networks, prescription coverage and additional benefits. I'll help you understand how the options available to you work.
Medigap
Medicare Supplement
Medicare Supplement insurance works alongside Original Medicare and can help with certain out-of-pocket costs. I'll explain how Medigap differs from Medicare Advantage and what to consider when comparing your options.
Part D
Prescription Drug Coverage
Part D plans help cover prescription medications. Formularies, pharmacies and costs can vary by plan, so I'll help you understand how your medications fit into the options available to you.

Hi, I'm Rachael. Medicare is complicated. Helping you understand it doesn't have to be.
I'm Rachael Homer, an independent Medicare broker and owner of Sunshine Insurance. My job is to help you understand Medicare in plain English so you can feel confident about your decisions.
Because I'm an independent broker, I can help you compare coverage options from multiple insurance companies. We'll look at what's important to you — including your doctors, prescriptions, budget and coverage needs.
